I feel very happy and fulfilled today, because I finally attended the Miss Gay Vancouver pageant en femme. It's the first pageant I attended since 2007 and it was great being beautiful, even just for a night. Congratulations to Miss Tyra Bangmi for winning the Miss Gay Vancouver 2014 pageant title! The afternoon before, I also went shopping en femme, and was heckled at the mall by someone ignorant, but I didn't care. I enjoyed being my other self today and met some interesting people at the pageant. Perhaps I should run for the title myself?

Today I put together a new complete "en femme" look for myself for the first time in 7 years. I'm not quite ready to go back en femme, since I still I have one more challenge to finish grad. school/my MA. However, seeing myself in the mirror gave me something to look forward to when I am finally done with that last big school project. Until next time folks and fans...you'll seeing a lot more of Vanessa coming back soon enough this year!
